WHAT WE DO
Four Ways We Work With You.
TanaMSession.com is a human resources and organizational development consulting firm founded in 2014 and led by Dr. Tana M. Session, JD, PHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP. We help organizations diagnose what is not working, redesign how people are hired, developed, and led, and make the change hold after we leave. Our work spans cultural transformation, leadership development, employee training and development, cultural assessments, organizational restructuring, and executive performance coaching.
CONSULTING
Organizational development consulting, HR strategy, change management, and cultural assessments. We find what is actually driving turnover and disengagement, then build the structure to fix it: organizational design and restructuring, compensation audits, OKR and KPI frameworks, employee engagement action plans, and staff transition support.
TRAINING
Employee training and development, delivered in person, live virtual, or on demand. 500+ sessions facilitated. Topics include Unconscious & Implicit Bias in the Workplace, Intentional Recruiting & Interviewing, Generational Competencies, Emotional Intelligence, and How to Effectively Recognize & Address Microaggressions. Every program is customized to your organization.
COACHING
Executive performance coaching on an ICF-approved methodology. 360-degree feedback, DiSC and implicit bias assessments, and a written development plan your leader keeps after the engagement ends. Available one-on-one or as group coaching.
SPEAKER
Keynotes, speaker series, and conference sessions across the U.S., E.U., and Africa. Dr. Session has presented at SXSW and SHRM conferences and teaches leadership development at the African School of Governance in Kigali, Rwanda. Topics span personal power and executive presence, the future of work and emotional intelligence, managing the multigenerational workforce, intentional hiring, and women's leadership and empowerment.

How does an engagement usually start?
It depends on your timeline. Every engagement is scoped around your specific needs and the outcomes you are after, so the starting point varies: an employee engagement or culture assessment, a department organizational assessment, executive alignment sessions, or town hall facilitation. What does not vary is that we establish what is actually happening before recommending anything.
